An eight-year-old girl expressed her admiration for badminton ace Saina Nehwal in her school report and it's sure to leave you with a smile on your face

One of India's best medal hopes at the Rio Olympics, Saina Nehwal is a brilliant role model for youngsters of the country.


The 26-year-old girl from Hyderabad has worked hard to be counted among the best in her field. The shuttler is currently world no. 5 and is amongst the most decorated athletes in the country having won the Arjuna Award, Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna, Padam Shri and Padam Bhushan.

Saina Nehwal is training hard for the Rio Olympics.

An eight-year-old girl -- Ariaana -- expressed her admiration for the badminton ace in her school report. She described how despite having won a bronze medal in the London Olympics in 2012, Saina said that she wasn't finished.

Ariaana also mentions Saina's favourite foods, but says that since the shuttler is on strict diet for her training she can't indulge herself.

Ariaana's mother shared the report on Twitter with Saina, who was moved enough to share it with her followers.

We hope this sweet, cute report inspires Saina to bring back the gold medal from Rio.

Interestingly, Ariaana's mother is Madhuri Banerjee, who is an author, columnist and screenwriter. Her debut novel 'Losing My Virginity And Other Dumb Ideas' was very succesfull. She is also the writer of the successful Bollywood film, 'Hate Story 2'. She has also worked with actress Karishma Kapoor on a non-fiction book called 'The Yummy Mummy Guide'.
