'Thor: The Dark World' tops weekend box office again with USD 38.5 million earnings

Australian actor Chris Hemsworth starrer 'Thor: The Dark World' managed to stay at the top of the U.S. box office for the second consecutive week after making a collection of 38.5 million dollars, according to studio estimates.

Universal’s ‘The Best Man Holiday’ bagged the second spot with 30.6 million dollars, while rom-com ‘Last Vegas’ took the third spot, Fox News reported.

The top box office earners this weekend are:

1. ‘Thor: The Dark World’- 38.5 million dollars
2. ‘The Best Man Holiday’- 30.6 million dollars
3. ‘Last Vegas’- 8.9 million dollars
4. ‘Free Birds’- 8.3 million dollars
5. ‘Jackass Presents: Bad Grandpa’- 7.7 million dollars
6. ‘Gravity’- 6.3 million dollars
7. ‘Ender’s Game’- 6.2 million dollars
8. ‘12 Years a Slave’- 4.7 million
9. ‘Captain Phillips’- 4.5 million dollars
10. ‘About Time’- 3.5 million dollars.
