The Haveli police have arrested three persons in connection with the murder of history- sheeter Pappu Taware, who was gunned down at Panshet on Sunday night

The accused have been identified as Dnayneshwar Taware, Nikhil Potghan and Anil Bhagat, said police inspector Gajanan Ghadge.

The murder is suspected to be fallout of the rivalry between Nilesh Ghaywal and Gajya Marne gangs.

When asked about the allegations of police involvement in the killing of Pappu Taware, senior officials of Pune rural force clarified that the informant who provided the tip-off of Pappu Taware’s movements to the cops, also shared the same information with the rival gang members.

The murder was committed only after the police team left the spot, the police official said.
