Three injured as car hits them, mob sets car on fire

Three persons were injured, two of them seriously when a speeding car hit them at Dhatkidih here this evening after which a mob set the vehicle on fire, police sources said.

The injured persons were rushed to Tata Main Hospital here, where the condition of two was stated to be serious, the sources said. 

Senior Superintendent of Police, Akhilesh Kumar Jha said three persons were injured in an accident and were admitted in the hospital. Admitting that the enraged mob has set the car involved in the accident on fire, Jha denied any car racing behind the incident.

The locals alleged that two cars were racing against each other and one of them lost control and hit three youths standing on the roadside.
