In today’s fashion forward times, people are always scouting for perfect fits and cuts. Taking a cue, the city saw the opening of three fashion stores this month, each catering to a different segment. Here’s what caught our eye

Three new fashion stops in Mumbai

Couture > Mayyur Girotra
If you’d like to add some pizzazz to your wedding trousseau or if you have a formal do to head to, stop by Delhi-based fashion designer Mayyur Girotra’s newly-launched store in the city. The couturier’s collections have been sported by the likes of Sridevi and Amrita Rao among others. From flamboyantly coloured lehangas and sarees, to traditionally-flavoured accessories like shoes and bags, the store has a lot on offer.

The 640 sq ft store has a Marrakech vibe, and boasts of quirky and chic interiors.

Prêt > SS Homme
Earlier this month, SS Homme, a bespoke menswear label, forayed into prêt wear by launching its new studio; an annexure of SS Homme’s flagship store at Bandra (W). The Prêt Studio is furnished in achromatic tones. Complete with an inviting portico, the store area is cordoned off from the clamour of the main street.

Suits, jackets, bandhgalas, trousers, shirts and accessories (bow ties, tie pins, cufflinks and so on) are all available. The studio, like the bespoke section, maintains the service of entertaining its customers on an appointment basis only.

SS Homme has also taken experts from various fields on board to craft this line.
