Mumbai: Former Formula One ace Damon Hill, who is in the city as the international brand ambassador of this year’s Mumbai Marathon, said that Michael Schumacher’s skiing accident has made the F1 fraternity realise how vulnerable they can be.

“Michael’s accident has made us realise how vulnerable we are and how precious life is. It’s been a massive shock to everyone. Michael loved skiing, loved life and we all (F1 drivers) come from a similar makeup.

I think throwing caution to the winds is part of a F1 driver’s makeup. I don’t think that will change although many will most certainly take precautions,” Hill, the 1996 F1 champ, said.
