For someone who has had a short stint in playback, Tochi Raina has rendered many hits with Iktara from Wake up Sid, Mitthi Mitthi from Aisha and Aali Re from No One Killed Jessica. The singer, who considers himself a 'fakir at heart', is gearing up for a Sufi album. He talks to CS about his love for Sufi music: 
Sufi so good
You will find a lot of Sufi and Jazz in the album. For me, Sufi is poetry, singing is khayal and Jazz is a language. I think Sufi and Jazz are made for each other. I don't think Sufi music has become popular only now. It always thrived in our land since we're a country of saints and fakirs. However, the media has played a big role in the recent past in taking the music to every heart.
Oh my god
I'm very particular about the lyrics because I've had the opportunity of reading great poets who've raised the bar for me. My favourite poets are Baba Bulleshah, Baba Fareed, Sultan Bahoo, Gurunanakdevji and Kabir.
There's a link between music and spirituality. I have learnt music through meditation from my all mentors / gurujis. I have cured a lot of people suffering from asthama, thyroid, damaged vocal cords through music therapy. I think the first step to feeling good is meditation and breathing exercise through music.
