Vehicles being diverted at major junctions due to the palkhi procession of Sant Dyaneshwar and Sant Tukaram
Traffic on Laxmi Road near Sant Kabir Chowk to Belbaug Chowk, Mahatma Gandhi Road, to Ramoshi Gate and Kharadi bypass to Magarpatta will be closed on Wednesday from 5 am till the Sant Tukaram and Sant Dnyaneshwar Maharaj palkhis leave the city limits.
Pune traffic police have advised commuters to avoid these roads and take alternate routes.u00a0Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic) Vishwas Pandhare said, “Vehicles coming from Mumbai to Ahmednagar can go thorugh Talegaon, Chakan and Shikrapur.

Vehicles from Saswad to Mumbai, Nashik can go via Narayanpur, Kapurhol and Katraj or Saswad, Bapdev Ghat and Katraj bypass,”u00a0“Heavy vehicles coming from Solapur towards Ahmednagar, Nashik, Mumbai should go via Choufula, Kedgaon, Shikrapur, Chakan and Talegaon.
These vehicles can also use the route via Theur junction, Kesnand, Wagholi, Markal and Moshi area,” Pandhare added.
