The Pune railbirds were all eyes as they lined up the paddock to wish their favourite rider luck as he got a leg up from trainer Vishal Gaikwad before mounting Kings Canyon, who was backed down to 45/100. A confident Trevorl took a flier from the stating gates and coasted to an effortless start-to-finish victory to the delight of his followers to win the lower division of the Pune Cantonment Board Trophy.

An hour later, he brought the Pesi Shroff-trained Courtship, who was lesser fancied than only the favourite, Arak (Sandesh up), with a flourish to authoritatively to win the Dakshin Maharashtra Sun-Area Trophy, after positioning the horse in a crowded mid-bunch until turning for home.
