The Thane police have launched a hunt for two trucks carrying a consignment worth Rs 1.06 crore.


Inspector L V Rathod of Narpoli police station under Bhiwandi division said that a consignment of medicines, garments and some other things, belonging to Vtrans Godowns, was loaded into two trucks bearing the registration numbers MH/43/Y/3483 and MH/43/Y/3484 at Bhiwandi in the district.


The truck left for Chennai and Bangalore on November 21 but hadn't reached the destinations until yesterday. The drivers were identified as Balvindersingh Pratapsingh and Jagtyarsingh Harvendsingh, both from Nashik. The police have registered a case of cheating.
