She's not ceased to make headlines ever since she got married to Prince William. From her yummy fashion sense to her pregnancy talks, Kate Middleton has truly been the tabloid darling. And she's making news once again today as she turns 30. We tell you a little more about this birthday girl:
>> She studied in Scotland at the University of St Andrews, where she met Prince William in 2001. They started a romantic relationship but then broke-up in 2007. Even then, they continued to be friends and then rekindled their relationship later that year.
>> In November 2006, Kate accepted a position as an accessory buyer with the clothing chain Jigsaw. She also worked part-time until January 2011 as a catalogue photographer, webpage designer and marketing officer for her parents' firm 'Party Pieces'. In 2008, it was reported that she had quit her job at Jigsaw to become a professional photographer, intending to take private classes with photographer Mario Testino, who had taken several well-known photographs of Princess Diana and her sons.
>> Kate is known for her impeccable sense of fashion. She also worked as a model. Once Prince William paid $200 to sit at the front row to watch her at a fashion show.
>> Kate is the oldest royal bride. Well, not in the world, but at least in the history of Britain. Princess Diana was only 20 when she got married to Prince Charles. Kate walked the aisle at 29.
>> In everyday life, Kate prefers to be called Catherine. Now that also means, whenever Prince William becomes the King and Kate becomes the Queen, British history will have five Queens whose first name was Catherine.
