Celebrities took to Twitter to post their views, albeit tongue-in-cheek ones, about the petrol price hike.

Petrol prices were hiked from yesterday midnight by Rs 7.50 per litre taking it to Rs 78.16 in Mumbai. This news gave another reason to celebrities to log on to one of the favourite networking sites - Twitter - and air their views.

Actor Kunal Kapoor had a suggestion for banks. He tweeted - Petrol is up to 78 rs per litre!!! Forget cars, banks need to come up with EMI schemes for petrol as well now!!!
Rajasthan Royals co-owner and new father Raj Kundra posted -  #petrolhike yikes! Petrol chodo drink Johnnie Walker and keep walking!
Sports journalist Ayaz Menon had a piece of fitness advice for everyone. He said - Get your hamstrings, calves et al in shape to pound the roads; petrol prices to go up by a sinful Rs 7.50 per litre.
With one of his movies gearing up for release Boman Irani tweeted - Another petrol price hike!!!! Thankfully the ticket prices of Ferrari Ki Sawaari will still cost the same!
There was another popular tweet, perhaps a message gone viral, which read - Saab, Kitne ka daaloon? Customer : 2-4 Rupye ka car ke upar spray kar de bhai. Aag lagani hai. Two people who posted this were actor Amitabh Bachchan and Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Omar Abdullah.
