The act has been deemed as 'arrogance' of the young officer.
The man in question is Dr Jagdish Sonkar, the 2013-batch IAS officer who is a sub-divisional magistrate of Ramanujganj in Balrampur district.
As he also has a medical degree, he had visited a government hospital for a routine inspection and interacted with mothers of malnourished children being treated there.
Twitter did not take kindly to what they considered this as an 'insolent' act. This is what they tweeted.
