Many more are believed to be trapped inside; rescue operations underway
Two persons were killed and about 26 others were injured when the female ward of Kasturba hospital building in Bhopal collapsed on Friday. The hospital is run by Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL).

It is said that four of the injured are in a critical condition. Two bodies was extricated from the debris and the deceased were identified as Arun Sisodia and Mohammad Jameel.
The accident happened due to an ongoing repair and maintenance work on the ground floor of the building. The rescue operation is underway and more people are trapped inside the debris.
Shashi Prasad, executive director of the BHEL, Bhopal, said, “All the patients have been rescued. A committee has been constituted to probe the reasons into the building collapse,” he said.u00a0
