Unexpected downpour wrecks Vikram Bhatt's sets

The recent and unexpected downpour in the city has played havoc on the sets of Vikram Bhatt's Shapith. The producer-director had to cancel the shoot of his horror flick as the roof of the sets at Film City came apart.
Saturday night's rain added to his misery as whatever work had begun on remaking the sets had to be stopped mid-way.

Says Bhatt, "I have not been able to shoot at all since Wednesday ever since it poured due to the cyclone Phyan. The rains have left the sets in a bad state."

The filmmaker had replicated a forest-like setting for the scenes to be filmed, but the rain fury made a mess of it. "This is Shapith's final schedule and I had hoped to complete the filming it by December 10. I will manage to be on schedule though," he adds.

Shapith is part of Bhatt's trilogy of horror flicks after Raaz and 1920. "There is also a love story coupled with adventure and thrills in it," says Bhatt.

Yesterday, Bhatt had begun work on remounting the sets. "I hope to begin shooting soon."
Shapith marks the debut of singer-anchor Aditya Narayan on the big screen along with Shweta Agarwal and Rahul Dev.
