After the results of Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) were announced, the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education’s (MSBSHSE) Mumbai divisional board at Vashi has been in a flurry since the last two days.

Std XII students who were not happy with their results were filling application forms to receive photocopies of their answer sheets to get them verified or re-evaluated. Students had varied reasons to seek copies of their answer sheets.

While some were dissatisfied with their scores, despite faring well, others wanted a thorough re-evaluation after failing the subject. The applications, available for Rs 400 per form, were accessible at the divisional office from May 3. Along with the form, students also have to attach a copy of the online results and their hall ticket.

Since the results were published online, re-evaluation forms are not available at individual colleges. The forms to procure photocopies of answer sheets and the final mark sheet will be available at junior colleges from June 10, 3 pm onwards.

Speaking to mid-day, Siddheshwar Chandekar, the board’s Mumbai divisional secretary, said, “Every year, many students feel that their answers have not been evaluated properly and they apply for a photocopy of their answer sheets. However, their concerns vanish as soon as they get their evaluated answer sheet.”

When this reporter asked officials of the education department about the date of receiving the photocopies, some admitted that it would take at least 15 days, while others said it was only a matter of a couple of days.
Students will also receive SMS alerts to keep track of their answer sheets.
