Union Bank thrash GB Police 8-2

GB Police, who began their campaign at the Willingdon Catholic Gymkhana's 34th Victor D'Mello Annual floodlit rink hockey tournament with 5-4 win over Wenden Caterers in Round One, were yesterday thrashed 2-8 by Union Bank of India in Round Two.

UBI’s Rohan Mhatre scored a brace while Rajat Sharma, Vikram Singh, Anand Rai, Ruben, Sneddon Mendis and Anurag Sharma added a goal each. Sunil Sawant and Sumit Mohite reduced the margin for GB Police.

In the girls’ category, Rachel Michael scored twice as St Joseph’s beat Auxilium Convent 4-0. Jemmiah Rodrigues and Esther Mathew added a goal each.
