About Uttar Pradesh Board of High School and Intermediate Education (UP Board):
Uttar Pradesh Board of High School and Intermediate Education was established in 1921 at Allahabad by an act of United Provinces Legislative Council. It conducted its first examination in 1923. UP Board is the first Board in India which had adopted 10+2 system of examination. The foremost examination after 10 years learning of High School (Class 10th) Examination and after the 10+2 / Class 12th examination, there comes the next level i.e. Intermediate Examination.
Former to 1923, University of Allahabad was the examining body of these two examinations. Currently, UP Board is the largest examining body in the World. There are four Regional Offices of the Board i.e. Meerut was formed in 1973, Varanasi was formed in 1978, Bareilly was formed in 1981 and Allahabad was formed in 1987. Presently, the UP Board is holding the examinations and preparing the results of nearly 32 lakh students.
The Main Functions of UP Board is to grant recognition to aspiring school, to prescribe courses and text books for High school and Intermediate level, to conduct High school and Intermediate Examination, to provide equivalence to the examinations conducted by other Boards. Currently, 9121 secondary schools are recognized by the U.P. Board of High School and Intermediate Education.
Uttar Pradesh Board of High School and Intermediate Education Examination and Results (UP Board):
Board of High School & Intermediate Education Uttar Pradesh conducts two major examinations i.e. UP Class 10th Board Exam / UP High School Exam and UP Class 12th Board Exam / UP Board Inter Exam / UP Board 10 +2 Exam / UP Intermediate Exams.
This year i.e. In 2014 around 31.27 lakh students registered for UP Board 12th Exam 2014 where as for UP Board 10th Exam 2014 around 71.20 lakh students have filled in the forms. As compared to 2013, number of students has increased by 9.5%. UP Board Class 10th Exams started on 3 March’ 2014 and continued till on 21 March’2014 and UP Board 12th Exam 2014 started on 3rd March’2014 and continued till 4th April’2014.
In 2013, UP Board results i.e. UP Board 10th Result and UP Board 12th Result was announced in June. This year, UP Board 12th Class Result 2014 / UP Board Inter Result / UP Board Intermediate Result / UP Board 10 + 2 Result 2014 declared today on 25th May’ 2014 and UP Board High School Result and UP Board 10th Class Result to be declared on 30th May’2014.
