Orlando: Children in his new neighourhood warned William Wilson: “Who knows, you might find a dead body. We never saw the former owners leave.”
Suspicious that the doors of a long-vacant home he bought at auction on Tuesday in southwest Florida were chained from the inside, Wilson was shocked when he found a mummified body in the master bedroom. “I didn’t expect this at all,” said Wilson.

According to Sergeant Dana Coston, while there were no obvious signs of foul play, an investigation will be conducted. The house has been sealed. Wilson bought the house for $96,000 after it went to auction because of the owner’s failure to pay property taxes for three years.
It has been reported that the owner had been in the process of packing her belongings. “Two elderly sisters from Venezuela who spoke little English lived in the home and one of them (whose body he found) died in 2005,” says Wilson.
