Usha Uthup takes a trip down memory lane
When you think of Usha Uthup, memorable songs like Shaan Se and Ek do cha cha cha spring to mind
And that’s largely because of the fantastic combination of her voice and RD Burman’s composition. Usha spoke to CS about his charisma:
RD’s swan song
Most people tend to think that RD’s last project was 1942 A Love Story. But it was actually a Bengali album Kolkata Te Bati Nai that we did
together. We dubbed it in Hindi as well.
The good life!
Not many people know he was really stylish and classy and had a great sense of humour. He was really fond of the good life. He liked fast cars and perfumes.
As a musician, he was way before his time. He was so open to adapt and to accept and to adopt. We shared a lot of amazing music. He was one of the most fantastic musicians of our times.
