One of the girls is from Uzbekistan, a 22-year-old, who came to India 15 days ago, on a tourist visa.
According to the police, the girl came to Bangalore for the sole purpose of prostitution, with the help of a local pimp, Rajesh. The other girls are from Mumbai, Kolkata and Delhi. They have been sent to remand homes.
Manjunath Babu, PI, Vivek Nagar, said, "We have arrested five girls aged between 22-26 and the customer, Santosh, and Rajesh.

u00a0Rajesh has been running such rackets for the last two years, but this is his first arrest. He used to bring girls from all over India, and this is the first time he had a foreign girl in his posse.

Rajesh met the Uzbek girl over the Internet, and promised her up to Rs 10,000 per day. Rajesh put her and the other girls in busy residential areas, to keep away from police suspicion.
Then, he would take pictures of them, and show them to prospective clients. Normally, he used to stand at the Koramangala passport office to pick the customers.
As the raid went on, the girls tried to escape. When that failed, they searched for something to cover their faces. But in the end, they could only manage to find towels.
