The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has decided to extend its one-time benefit scheme to Gundappa Viswanath, Mohinder Amarnath, Dilip Vengsarkar and Syed Kirmani, who were left out of the scheme earlier this year.
In a statement released after the Working Committee meeting here yesterday, the board said the scheme will now be extended to the four former cricketers, three of whom were members of the 1983 World Cup winning team.u00a0
The board also decided to extend the one-time benefit scheme to cricketers who had retired after the 2003-04 season but were eligible for the scheme at the end of the 2003-04u00a0season.
