India boxer Vijender Singh has come out in support of animal rights protection outfit PETA's campaign to encourage adopting strays. PETA and Sony Music India are running a contest inviting videos of adopted cats playing, snuggling, or simply chilling around the house. The winning entries will feature in the music video of Ankur Tewari's new single Billi Ka Bachcha, which debuts on 12 January, PETA's 18th anniversary.

"Want to help @PetaIndia & @sonymusicindia in their cause #AdoptDontShop? Participate in the contest with your rescued cat to try your chance to get featured in the video for #BilliKaBachcha," wrote Vijender on his Twitter account yesterday.
