Comedian Vir Das books himself on a 10-day train ride to scour for new material for his acts
Creative people are often known to undergo self-imposed exiles to come up with new ideas. While some shut themselves up at home, others take to the mountains to discover their eureka moment.

If you don’t agree, ask Vir Das! The comic-turned-actor is planning to go on an extended rail trip to allow himself time and space for coming up with never-heard-before material. He also intends to complete his unfinished book that he has been working on since the last two years.
Vir is slated to perform at a new show that he is debuting in February. Accordingly, the stand-up comedian has planned to lock himself up in his train coach to invoke the writer in him. And naturally, he’s not interested in visiting new places. “In his free time, he will be reading a lot of stuff which has been gathering dust on his bookshelf due to the lack of time,” says a source close to him.
The actor-performer confirms the fancy itinerary idea and adds, “Like all artistes, I need to refresh my mind and look for inspiration. I will be checking into the Palace on Wheels and will be staying inside throughout.” Bon voyage, then!u00a0
