Vivek Oberoi lets go of Rs 25 lakh from 'Zila Ghaziabad' makers

Before the release of producer Vinod Bachchan’s Zila Ghaziabad there were several rumours about how Vivek had not been paid the full amount for his performance. However, our sources say that the actor has in fact let gone of Rs 25 lakh that Bachchan owed him. “He has set an example,” adds the source.

The grapevine was buzzing with rumours that Vivek was apparently unhappy after his dues were not paid to him. The source states, “Bachchan was stuck and had no money to pay him back. He requested Suresh Oberoi and a common friend Tarun Rathi and finally the film saw a smooth release. A couple of days back, Vivek forfeited the amount and the producer is pleased with his lead actor’s gesture.”

Bachchan is glad Vivek bailed him out during his difficult time. He says, “I am grateful to Vivek, Sureshji and Rathiji. While all the actors supported me, Vivek let go of the amount, which I was not able to give him. He is definitely a friend who helped me during my crisis.” Says Rathi, “Vivek believes in standing by his producers in their hour of need. It was a matter of Rs 25 lakh and he also promoted the film for an entire week. Bachchan is a genuine producer but not many people wanted to stand by him.” Well they say, all’s well that ends well.u00a0
