The Malad police arrested a 23-year-old ward boy on Wednesday. for allegedly molesting an eight-year-old girl in a local hospital premises in Malwani
The accused Omkar Hardankar has been charged under IPC section 509 (word, gesture or act intended to insult the modesty of a woman) and sections under the Protection Of Children From Sexual Offences Act 2012.
The victim, a Std II student, was visiting a local hospital near her Malwani residence with her 40-year-old mother on Sunday evening. When her mother went in to get an MRI scan, the ward boy sitting at the reception of the MRI section exposed his private parts to the child.

The girl, who was disturbed by this incident, narrated it to her mother upon reaching home. The victim’s mother later filed a complaint with the Malad police on Tuesday and the accused was nabbed on Wednesday. u00a0
