As per the latest notification of West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education (WBCHSE), the WBCHSE Result 2016 will be declared on 16 May 2016. This news has come as a surprise for all the aspiring students who have long waited for their results. Students, who are waiting for their WBCHSE HS Result 2016, can check it on the official website wbchse.nic.in and wbresults.nic.in. The WBCHSE conducted the 12th class examination during the month of February with the last paper being conducted on 29th February. Practical exams for physical sciences and H.S. Music and Visual Arts, H.S. Health & Physical Education were held earlier in the year. In other words, students have been waiting for the WBCHSE Results for almost two months now. 

WBCHSE 12th Result 2016 is deemed to be one of the biggest landmarks in the academic career of students. Keeping the criticality of WB 12th Result 2016 in mind, the Board has taken special steps to ensure that results are announced on time, without any delay.

Steps to check West Bengal 12th Result 2016 online
This year, the West Bengal Board has simplified the result checking process and curtailed the number of steps involved in the process. In order to check West Bengal Higher Secondary Result 2016, students need to just follow these easy steps:

* Step 1: Visit jagranjosh.com/results
* Step 2: Fill out all the necessary details like Roll Number, Name, Mobile Number, Date of Birth and Email ID
* Step 3: Click on the ‘Submit’ Button 

Once you are done with it, your result will be displayed on the computer automatically. You can also download a copy or take a printout of the result mark-sheet from the website for future reference.

Last Year's West Bengal Board 12th Result
In 2015, the West Bengal Board 12th Result was declared on 29 May 2015. The pass percentage of the students stood at 82.38%, which marked a significant improvement over the 78.42% of 2014. Ditching the national level trend, boys outclassed girls in terms of pass percentage. A total of 82.96% of boys cleared the WB HSE Exam last year compared to 81.80% of girl students. 

The first four positions went to Narendrapur Ramkrishna Mission. The first position was secured by Billoshiv Basu Mullick with 99.2% marks, while Sheikh Manirul Mondal and Mrinmoy Roy stood second and third respectively with 98.2% and 97.8% marks.

The districts where more than 90% of the students passed were East Midnapore, West Midnapore, Hooghly, Howrah and Kolkata. 

Seeing the trend of previous years' WB 12th class Result, it can be estimated that this year will also witness an increase in the pass percentage of the students.
