WCG rink hockey: Indian Oil cruise to 4-2 win over Mumbai Customs

An impressive Indian Oil team with a host of international players in their ranks easily defeated Mumbai Customs 4-2 to sail through to the next round in the men's category of the Willingdon Catholic Gymkhana-34th Victor D'Mello annual floodlit rink hockey tournament.

At half time, Indian Oil led 3-1 lead with a goal each from Yuvraj Walmiki, Roshan Minz and Deepak Thakur. Vikas Sharma added the fourth goal in the second half. Jayesh Jadhav and Alden D’Souza reduced the margin for Customs.

In another match of the men’s category, Western Railway overcame a stiff challenge from Central Railway to emerge 4-3 victors. The scores were tied at 3-3, before a last-minute goal from Amit Gowda won it for WR.
