Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) is in a helpless situation with pressure mounting on them to prevent its cricketers from participating in the IPL-VI.
“We can’t force players not to go,” Nishantha Ranatunga, the SLC secretary said on Saturday.
Buddhist nationalist groups threatened the board. “We will not let our players go. We will resort to much drastic action if our players go to India for IPL,” Ven Ittakande Saddhatissa, a Buddhist monk said.
