Hear poets define freedom
Pratidhwani Music is bringing an evening of stories and poetry that celebrates Independence Day. Bol Ke Lab Azad Hai Tere derives its title from the legendary Faiz Ahmed Faiz's poem. The idea is to understand from poets in the city what their definition of “independence” is. How do they see the country 71 years after independence? What makes them happy about the fact that we live in a free country? Poets who wish to participate have to submit two poems each from which five poets will be short-listed. They shall be performing along with the three poets who will be featured that evening — Divya Prakash Dubey, Puneet Sharma and Divv Sharma.

Go seed bombing

Learn the strokes of zen
Zentangle doodle art is known to be one of the most intricate forms of doodling. The term 'zen' indicates that drawing these patterns will help the person slip into a calm and relaxed state of mind. It involves drawing patterns, that are referred to as tangles. The tangles can be a combination of dots, lines, simple curves and orbs. The idea is to focus on each stroke rather than the end result. At this workshop, themed on Independence Day, experts will guide you in creating your own tangles. The theme is India and the class is open for all age groups. No prior experience in drawing is required.

Slip into your trekking shoes
Trek to the Yeoor Hills which lie towards the Thane side of Sanjay Gandhi National Park. While on the trail, there will be discussions about the flora and fauna you'll see while on your way.
