Riding on Musheer Khan's unbeaten double century (240*) Mumbai scored a mammoth 493 for three against Baroda on Day One of the West Zone U-14 tournament at the Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Rajkot yesterday.

After winning the toss, Mumbai lost opener Shubham Mestry in the very first ball of the innings. However, Shubham's partner Aditya Warang (47) and No. 3 batsman Musheer stitched a 133-run partnership for the second wicket.
Musheer, who is better known for his brand of left-arm spin, was involved in a 228-run stand for the third wicket with centurion Suryansh Shegde (112 off 85 balls).
Musheer, who faced 288 balls, scored 32 boundaries, while Shegde's innings was laced with 19 hits to the fence. The 12-year-old Musheer contributed to yet another 132-run stand for the fourth wicket with skipper Aiyaz Khan (87 not out).
For Baroda, pacer Ansh Patel claimed two wickets.
