While they belt out chartbuster numbers from their consoles, after gauging what people would like, have you ever wondered what music is liked by a DJ? the guide quizzes them on what they like to play, just for themselves

What is your DJ listening to?

DJ Abhishek Mantri:
One of the top DJs in the city, DJ Abhishek Mantri is famous for his Retro and Rock sound. Currently he is totally inclined towards Deep House. “Deep House and Tech House are new trends this season. 2012 and 2013 were more about Electro and EDM. But, things have changed for me now. Hence, my present playlist has all the top artistes of Deep House and Tech House like Beteko, Krus, Gui Boratto and Todd Terry.”

DJ Regge:
This Pune-based DJ is known for playing at various venues, spinning diverse music that come under genres like Rock, Techno and Bollywood. He shares the top five tracks from his iPod. “Waves by Mr Probz and Countless Stars by One Republic are my top favourites currently. Then comes Happy (Would You) by Pharrell Williams Vs. Touch And Go, which is an amazing mash-up. The Spark by Afrojack has also caught my nerves and so has Bollywood’s London Thumakda wedding version remix,” he shares.

DJ Mayank:
A fan of minimal Tech, Tech House and Experimental tunes, DJ Mayank says, "Clyde Trevor’s Aftershock, Umek ft. Jay Colin’s Burnfire, Dub Vision Hollow, and Vicetone — Ensemble (original mix) are a few of my current favourite tracks.”

DJ Ameeth:
DJ Ameeth is a complete Rock fan. “True to the venue I play at (Hard Rock Cafe), I personally love Rock and my audience also demand it the most! Led Zeppelin’s When The Levee Breaks is top of my list. Being a Techno and Tech House fan as well, I love playing that for my audience. Other favourites are Guns ‘n’ Roses, Bryan Adams, Jon Bon Jovi and undoubtedly Michael Jackson.”
