Ever wondered why the Times New Roman look the way it does, or why the Arial font became so popular. Why are types important on top of a cake or on a movie poster?
Do you eat, sleep and dream about types? No, yes, maybe? Irrespective of what your answer is, you may want to take a lookat, For the Love of Typography festival organised by Bachelor of Fine Arts students of Rachna Sansad. Currently in its third year, the festival brings a host of seminars and workshops, all designed around types.
Use a collection of types to create your own GIF image, know the intrinsic details about the various types of type and / or learn to create one of your own using clay. With around eight workshops and around sixteen speakers speaking about everything about types over two days, the festival is a great opportunity to learn more about the various fonts and why these are important. Don’t miss this chance.
