When con men wanted to celebrate Vajpayee's birthday

The crime branch has arrested Rajesh Keshav Mishra (47) and Siddhesh Sudhakar Samant (31) for cheating city businessmen by posing as affiliates of Members of Parliament, Members of Legislative Assembly and even former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee

When con men wanted to celebrate Vajpayee's birthday

The crime branch has arrested Rajesh Keshav Mishra (47) and Siddhesh Sudhakar Samant (31) for cheating city businessmen by posing as affiliates of Members of Parliament, Members of Legislative Assembly and even former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee.

Mishra is an estate agent and a resident of Borivli. Samant resides at Bhayander and is unemployed. Two months ago, they took Rs 50,000 from a builder claiming that Shiv Sena leader Subhash Desai wanted money for a blood donation camp.

Later, the builder found that Desai had in fact, not organised any such camp. On January 13, they once called the same builder and demanded Rs 2 lakh for Vajpayee's birthday celebration.

This time, the builder registered an FIR at Bandra police station.The matter was handed to the crime branch, who laid a trap near Kokan Kinara hotel, Vakola and arrested the duo.
