Former players are of the opinion that the five-day affair between India and Australia here could get over in three days.

The pitch has shown signs of cracking with some balls keeping low while others are flying off after hitting the deck.

Former Pakistan captain Wasim Akram said, “I found cracks all over the wicket and I could also see the black soil underneath.” Kapil Dev said, “I pray no one gets injured here.”

Former Aussie spinner Shane Warne wondered whether he should book his flight ticket for an early departure. Steven Smith, who scored 46 yesterday, said, “It is very difficult to bat here, this is certainly not a Day One wicket.”
