As many as 18 wickets tumbled on Day One of the Ranji Trophy tie between Bengal and Hyderabad at the Eden Gardens here on Saturday.

Batting first, Hyderabad scored 115 with Mohammad Shami Ahmed claiming 4-36. The visitors’ innings lasted just two hours and 28u00a0minutes.

In reply, Bengal were reeling at 79 for eight at stumps.
