Disgusted over the activities of her husband and his alleged addiction to liquor, a hapless wife allegedly killed him and was subsequently arrested by police.
One Prasant Nayak, 29 an unemployed youth was allegedly killed by his wife Dula Naik at Timna busti in Sundergarh district yesterday, police said today.
According to local residents, Nayak was a habitual drunkard and a mischief monger.

He used to torture his wife under the influence of liquor. The couple had heated arguments.

Infuriated over the incident, Nayak attacked her t but this time she retaliated.
When he found wife in an aggressive mood, the husband tried to kill her by suffocating Dula by using a pillow, police said.
But Dula managed to escape and attacked him with an axe lying in the room. Nayak's parents though present at the place did not intervene and she killed him on the spot, police said.
Badagaon police arrested the wife and seized the body of Prasant. The couple have a baby daughter.
