The Pydhonie police found a 48-year-old woman's body at a guesthouse in Mohammad Ali Road yesterday.
Preliminary investigations have identified the deceased as Meenakumari.
According to the police, they received a call from a man named Sayyed Ali at around 5 pm on Monday, informing them that Kumari had slipped, while entering the bathroom of and suffered severe
head injuries and died on the spot.
Acting on the information, cops arrived at the second floor of Sultan Guest House in Vazir Building, but only found Kumari's dead body. There were no signs of Sayyed Ali anywhere.
The police have taken the body to J J Hospital for a post mortem and are waiting for the report.
A lookout notice has been issued for Ali.
The cops added that the two were staying together at the guest house since October 10 and suspected that he was an agent who sold girls and was about to sell her to Saudi Arabia.
