A 25-year-old woman allegedly poisoned herself and her minor daughter in Kunda area here over dowry demand, police said on Friday.

Neha allegedly consumed some poisonous substance with her daughter Ansu (2.5 years) last night, they said, adding both were rushed to a hospital where they died during treatment. An FIR has been registered in this regard against Neha's husband Ashok Yadav and five others for demanding dowry and harassing her, police said.
