Woods' ex-caddie helps Scott to WGC win

Australia's Adam Scott, with Tiger Woods' former caddie Steve Williams on his bag, won the Bridgestone Invitational on Sunday.

Scott, who posted a final-round 65 to notch a four-stroke victory over Luke Donald and Rickie Fowler, finished with a four-round total of 17-under 263 to win his first elite World Golf Championships title.



Caddie Williams who was axed by Woods only two weeks ago, said helping Scott to victory was the most satisfying win he's ever had.

u00a0"It's the greatest week of my life caddying --u00a0and I sincerely mean that.

"It's the most satisfying win I've ever had, there's no two ways about it," Williams said.

Tiger's rank drops
Woodsu00a0 could manage only a joint 37th finish. He also dropped another two places to 30th in the latest world rankings. In his first event back from knee and Achilles tendon injuries, Woods falls below Rickie Fowler and Zach Johnson and now has 11 fellow Americans ahead of him.

Atwal disappoints
Arjun Atwal carded six-over 76 in his error-filled final round that to finish 68th. He finished at eight-over 288 for the week.
