St John's: West Indies cricketers Chris Gayle and Sunil Narine have reportedly refused West Indies Cricket Board's (WICB) annual retainer contract on Saturday.

The move comes soon after Kieron Pollard and former captain Dwayne Bravo were excluded from the 15-member team picked to play in the 2015 ICC Cricket World Cup to be held in Australia and New Zealand next month.

Off-spinner Narine was reported twice for suspect bowling action during the Champions League T20 in India last year. He was not barred from bowling in international cricket but was suspended from doing so in BCCI-organised tournaments only.
However, his selection means that he is set to return to international cricket after pulling out of the West Indies tour of India last October.
WICB said Narine had rehabilitated himself, and it would mean the selectors were confident that he has made the necessary adjustments. This will be Narine's first World Cup. Jason Holder will be WI captain.
