WWE Raw: The New Day set a new record as tag team champions

The New Day defeated Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns as well as Kevin Owens and Chris Jericho in the Raw main event for the tag team titles

The New Day defeated Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns as well as Kevin Owens and Chris Jericho in the Raw main event for the tag team titles.

With the win, the New Day will equal and go on to break Demolition's record of 478 days as WWE tag team champs. Chris Jericho and Kevin Owens got into an argument after the match before Roman Reigns hit a spear to hold both US title and WWE Universal title.

The New Day earlier defended their titles in a triple threat tag team match against Gallows and Anderson and Cesaro and Sheamus to be on their way to a record breaking tag team run. During celerations, some champagne fell on WWR Raw boss Stephanie McMahon which ticked her off. She then put New Day in another title defence match later that night.

Seth Rollins hosted the 'Rollins Report' with WWE Universal champion Kevin Owens as his guest. Owens revealed WWE Raw's main event wouldbe The New Day against Chris Jericho and Kevin Owens for the tag team titles. Chris Jericho then interfered and the two attacked Rollins. WWE superstar Roman Reigns then intervened and saved Seth Rollins. Raw General Manager Mick Foley then added Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins to the Raw main event making it a triple threat match.

TJ Perkins lost ot The Brian Kendrick in their WWE cruiserweight match. Bayley faced Alicia Fox and defeated her with the Bayley-to-Belly.

A promotional video was showcased for Sasha Banks and Charlotte who will face each other at 'RoadBlock: End of the Line' in a 30-min Iron Man match for the Raw women's title. Sami Zayn too, earned himself a match against the huge Braun Strowman at Roadblock.
