World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) legend Kane has been elected the new mayor of Knox County, Tennesse (USA). According to British tabloid, The Sun, Kane, who's real name is Glenn Jacobs, took home 66 per cent of the votes to defeat fellow Democrat candidate Linda Haney.

"Every vote really does count and I want to make sure I get as many as I possibly can. Since May, we've been knocking on doors and continued doing that. We've also continued the process of meeting with department heads, school boards and county commissioners," he said. Kane, who announced he would be running for mayor in March last year, has made sporadic appearances on WWE.
