Yesterday, Rosario's boys made him proud with an 8-1 thrashing of Podar International in an U-16 Div IV fixture at Azad Maidan. "We owe a lot to our new principal. He has ensured the boys return to the ground after two years. It's great to see them practice among themselves (without a coach)," said Santosh Arondekar, Xavier's physical training teacher.
In the absence of a coach, striker Ajay Thakur, who scored a hat-trick in yesterday's win, along with Vishesh Singh and Sunil Yadav manage the team's practice sessions. "I can't express how I felt after the hat-trick, especially since we were out of action for two years. We want to make our principal proud. Hopefully, we have managed to do that," said skipper Ajay.
