A 21-year-old management student has been arrested for killing his friend after the two allegedly fought over trivial matters while decorating their apartment for Christmas in Borivli (West) in the wee hours on Monday.
Police sources however revealed off the record that the two men were in a relationship, and the deceased was killed after he refused sex to his partner.

The accused, identified as Alexander D’Souza, was arrested by the police from his home in Jai Shiv Shankar Nagar, Dahisar (West) on Monday morning. Sources revealed that Alexander and the victim Ryan Kanishiyano Gomes (21) had been seeing each other for the past six months, and had rented an apartment in Navagao, Borivli (West).
Alexander and Ryan had been decorating their apartment for Christmas. They had drinks and dinner. Later in the evening, when Alexander refused sex to Ryan, the two started fighting. Ryan picked up an empty bottle and smashed it on Alexander’s head. He then tried to force himself on Alexander, biting him. Alexander picked up a knife lying nearby and stabbed Ryan in the abdomen, pushing him against the wall. Ryan fell motionless.
The complainant in the case, Ryan’s father, received a call from Alexander in the wee hours on Monday, telling him that Ryan had stopped breathing. “When Ryan’s father reached his house in the early hours on Monday, he found his son dead,” said S B Kilje, senior police inspector of MHB Colony police station.
The police officers received a call from Ryan’s father and rushed to the spot to find his body with stab injuries in his stomach. They found Alexander sitting in a corner, crying. Initially, he told the police that Ryan had called him to the apartment to tell him something, and had sounded depressed.
He claimed that Ryan suddenly turned violent and started assaulting him, after which he suddenly collapsed. “We suspect that Alexander killed Ryan. The arrested man told us that he had an argument with Ryan. We are investigating the matter from all angles,” said Kilje.u00a0
