Faridabad: A 20-year-old youth was killed by a group of men allegedly after they had a scuffle with his elder brother here, police said today.


The incident took place yesterday and the victim is identified as Udham Singh, police said, adding, eight men slit his throat after a tussle with his elder brother Vikas.


Vikas made a failed attempt to overtake a tractor while riding his motorcycle only to fall in front of the tractor.


This gave rise to a spat between him and the passengers of the tractor who tried to kill him. He was saved after the mediation of the villagers, SHO Inspector Preetpal Sangwan said.

Later in the day, Udham, Vikas' younger brother, had gone to Panhera village for some work along with one of his friends. While returning, he was intercepted by around eight men, who killed him with by cutting his throat, he said. They were allegedly taking the revenge of the fight with his brother.

Following a complaint by Nafe Singh, father of the deceased, a case has been registered against seven persons under relevant sections of IPC and Arms Act, police said, adding that no arrests have been made in this connection, the SHO said.

Some of the accused identified are Akash, Pawan, Sumit, Yogesh, and Mahendra.
