Bijnore (UP): A youth has been sentenced to seven years imprisonment for raping a 16-year-old girl, making a video clip of the act and blackmailing the victim for several years.
Fast Track Court Judge Rajneesh Kumar yesterday sentenced the youth, a resident of village Bilai under Haldaur police station, to seven years imprisonment for raping the minor girl of the same village in 2013. A fine of Rs 21,000 was also imposed on him.

The court also sentenced the youth's parents and one of his friends to one year imprisonment each for conspiring with the convict in the crime. According to the prosecution, the convict threatened to make public the video clip and raped the victim several times.
The victim's father, on being informed about the incident by his daughter, approached the convict and his parents but was threatened by them. He, however, filed a complaint with the police, following which an FIR was lodged under Section 376 (rape) and 506 (criminal intimidation) of IPC against the four.
