Two months ago, in an interview with hitlist, Yuvraj Singh took the liberty to call himself the best looking cricketer around. Then a bachelor, Yuvi's statements could well be backed by innumerable female fans, whose hearts would have broken just a little last night.

The cricketer tied the knot with actress Hazel Keech in a private ceremony in Fatehgarh Sahib Gurdwara, located 40 kms from Chandigarh, with his friends and family in attendance.

The groom's mother, Shabnam Singh, narrowed down on the venue and the function was preceded with a long night of celebrations.

As if the sangeet and mehendi functions were not enough, Yuvi's friends went on to host a small haldi ceremony later.

Hazel looked stunning in a deep red lehenga which was embroidered with gold detailing, while the groom matched her in a velvet sherwani and pagdi.

Both the ensembles were designed by JJ Valaya, who will also be dressing the couple for their Hindu wedding and reception in Goa on December 2.

Though Yuvraj's father, Yograj Singh, was conspicuous by his absence, the bride and the groom visited him later in the day. While Shabnam was beaming with joy, there was a hint of exhaustion on everyone's faces.

A friend of the bride said, "We signed up for a week long party that has just begun. Expect surprises and a big show in Goa and Delhi."

Informed a friend on the upcoming occasions, "Hazel has already chosen a red and gold Benarasi for the Hindu do. Yuvi's final outfit is yet to be zeroed on."
