Bhuvi took 5-24 as India beat South Africa by 28 runs in the first T20I at Johannesburg and became the only Indian to take a fifer in all three formats. Now, Chahal, who has played 23 ODIs and 17 T20Is, is junior to Bhuvi, who has 21 Tests, 86 ODIs and 24 T20I under his belt. So, the tweaker was pulled by some, who felt he was trying to play Senior Pro. "What do you mean by welcome to the club? Bhuvi is a senior player to you and has given some excellent bowling performances in past too," wrote one Twitter user.
"Bhuvi is your senior, Chahal. He is already in the club. You are the one who joined just now. Don't try to be overcool," wrote another online user. Chahal was referring to the fact that Bhuvi became only the second bowler after him (6-25 v England in 2017) to take five wickets in a T20I.
