Nothing beats unwinding with a good book for any voracious reader. The smell of the library, the feel of its pages, and the prospect of visiting another planet.

Have you ever wished to live in a world where books are all around you, and you could share your passion for reading with others? Starting a bookstore may seem impossible in this day and age of massive retail behemoths. On the other hand, small booksellers have a lot of room to grow in the book industry, despite the perception that they are fading in the shadow of these behemoths. The days of scouring dingy library shelves for books to find a single fact are over. With a single click on search engines, one can now access hundreds of materials on any topic. The recently launched online marketplace "What's in your story", which circulates libraries and bookstores and where any voracious reader can buy, sell, or rent used books, has created a buzz.

The What's in your Story platform was created to create a community for readers to sell, buy, and rent used books. Khushi Joshi, the Founder & CEO of What's in Your Story, who is a Marketing and Advertising enthusiast, shares insight about her brainchild in an exclusive interview:

1. What inspired the concept of 'What's in your story?'

We realized the importance of communication when the pandemic hit, and people were forced to stay home. The concept of stories arose. People's stories. Stories of various kinds. Stories that shape us inspire, motivate, and ultimately sustain us. Because we only have people, we began as a platform where people could come and share their stories. We had an even better idea as Covid-19's situation improved and modes of transportation became more accessible. What could be better than people sharing their stories digitally? It is an exchange of stories from all over the world in various forms, such as real-life stories, fictional fantasies, science fiction, or even academic learning. Books! We realized that exchanging books from all over the world would bring people closer together while also enhancing our storytelling motivation. We've all realized how important it is to give back to the environment by this point. As a result, we are all about used books. This is how the concept of 'What's in your story?' arose!

2. What do you see as the future of "What's in your story?"

We hope to instill the habit of resharing books through the medium of WIYS. Our primary goal is to take sustainable reading to the next level. We've all read about climate change, global warming, and how we can take small steps to improve our environment. WIYS is our first step, and we hope that people will accept our invitation to form a truly unique reader community. Can you imagine how exciting it would be to come into contact with stories from all over the world? We hope to get there gradually.

3. Which book/genre, in your opinion, is the most in-demand in today's market?

I will tell you what, it's amusing that in today's India, where everyone is talking about digitization and literacy, we're getting requests for academic books that aren't affordable to many people. So, I believe academic books are in high demand in today's market. Also, as people become more interested in spirituality and self-help books, learning about real-life stories can help them overcome their difficulties.

4. Tell us more about yourself and your qualifications. Also, tell us about your passion for books.

I have a Postgraduate Diploma in Advertising, Marketing, and Sales Management. At this point, all I can say about myself is that I got into this field to bring conscious marketing to the forefront; in today's world, creating content that positively impacts an empowered future is critical. Let alone incorporating sustainability into every aspect of our lives! All should adopt green! When it comes to books, I've always believed that they are a necessary part of life. After all, it's all about stories—"individual stories." Our lives change at every age because change is unavoidable. What remains are stories that have been recorded. As a result, I believe that books tell us all of the stories of each individual at different stages. I can't put into words how important books are to me; it's indescribable. What is left are stories that have been documented. So, I believe books tell us all of the stories of each individual at various stages. I can't express how important books are to me; it's inexplicable.

5. Please walk us through how the platform works!

What's in your story is an online marketplace where individuals, libraries, and small bookstores can buy, sell, and rent used books at a reasonable price. We've created a platform where people can quickly and conveniently get their favorite books!

It is a one-of-a-kind online marketplace where individuals, circulating libraries, and small bookstores can interact and take sustainable reading to the next level. Being ambitious never goes out of style because learning never stops in these extremely fast and creative times. The entire team of this unique start-up is excited about the new ventures that will assist brands in discovering their purpose, being consistent, focusing on storytelling, and finally - adapting and evolving.
